September 2016

Mullet Mixer:

Business in the front, party in the back.

Join us Sept. 19, for our 2nd Annual Mullet Mixer. During the front half of the event, we’ll introduce you to our organization’s new Executive Board, as well as preview the events we have planned for the year. The back half of the event, we’ll offer coffee and refreshments, and give you an opportunity to network with local professionals — some who will act as mentors in our GROW Mentorship Program — as well as other students interested in public relations.

Chapter Meeting and PR Director Election:

Are you interested in holding a position on the executive board? Do you like design and social media? If so, you may be interested in running for the PR Director position! Elections will be held Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. in JAAC 1037. If you are interested in running, prepare a brief speech about why you would fit this position. Want to run or vote, but can’t attend? Send us an email at belmontprssa@gmail.com and let us know. The second half of the meeting will be used to get to know each other, so come ready to mingle!

Movie Night: *Society and the Arts and Sciences CONVO

Join us Friday, Sept. 9, for Movie Night at 7:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center large theater. A brief lecture before the movie will be given by Tiffany Cloud-Mann, Vice President of Programs and Outreach for the Nashville-area Alzheimer’s Association. She will discuss what the Alzheimer’s Association does, research related to Alzheimer’s, and truth and discrepancy of the portrayal of Alzheimer’s in “The Notebook.”
